About Brigit
Brigit was a dedicated advocate for crime victims, whose contagious positivity bolstered others
From a very young age, Brigit sensed when people were distressed and she had a remarkable ability to know what they needed. Following her intuition, she drew on her compassion and courage, and took action to help.
She radiated loving joy to friends and family, but was also keenly aware of the hardships, injustices, and trauma that touch many lives. She thrived when those around her were feeling included and, through her words and deeds, she drew people together.
As a Victim/Witness advocate for the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, Brigit found work where she could apply her skills to effect the greatest impact on families suffering the trauma of violent crimes and other losses. Making these individuals feel seen and heard became Brigit’s passion.
Brigit died in a tragic motor vehicle accident on June 20, 2021. The overwhelming response to her death demonstrated the extensive and positive influence she had on her family, friends, and community. Here are a few of the ways people describe her:
“Fierce but gentle”, “Equal parts heart and steel”, “Unwavering composure”
“Sunshine in human form”, “Unfalteringly supportive”, “Relentlessly humble”
“Amazingly talented at being a tremendous human being”
